As part of the implementation of the Nagoya ABS Project II, the Department of Sustainable Development, with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is organizing a technical information workshop on the perspectives for the implementation of the Nagoya Protocol, on Thursday, September 25 at 9:30 a.m. at the Rabat Hotel.

The main objective of this meeting is to establish a shared and consolidated understanding of the issues related to Access and Benefit-Sharing (ABS) arising from the utilization of genetic resources and associated traditional knowledge. It also aims to inform proposals for the evolution of the national framework, both legal and institutional, and to promote the emergence of a common vision for its strengthening, in coherence with the Kingdom’s international commitments, particularly under the Nagoya Protocol.
